
Hazel Alice MacQuarrie
Hazel Alice MacQuarrie 1922-2002 KINGSTON, ON- Hazel passed away peacefully at the Fairmount Home in Kingston, Ontario on May 31, 2002 in her 80th year. She was born on November 4, 1922 in Edgett's Landing, Albert County, NB and was the daughter of the late Clyde Lemont Steeves and Alice Neva (Beaumont) Steeves both of Edgett's Landing. She served overseas in World War II in the Women's Army Corps. She worked for many years at Fort Henry in Kingston. She will be sorely missed by her devoted daughter, Paula Millard and her husband Charles of Kingston and her loving sisters and brothers, Norma Church of Edgett's Landing,NB, Elizabeth Steeves of Montreal, Quebec, Dexter Steeves and Jeanette of Hopewell Cape,NB, and Robert Steeves of Edgett's Landing, NB. She will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Tanya Couch of Fort Campbell, Kentucky ,Stephen Lawson of Kingston, Ontario; and by her great- grandchildren, Samantha Morgan Minter ,Danny Calin Couch, Marina Emily Dawson and Ryan Adrian Lawson; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Hazel was predeceased by her loving husband of 56 years, George Allison MacQuarrie; brothers, Paul, Larry and Russell, and her sisters, Margaret Godfrey, Dorothy Rogers and Ada Murray. The remains will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home, Hopewell Cape on Tuesday from 2-4pm. The Funeral service will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home on Tuesday evening, June 4, 2002 at 7pm with Rev. Kevin Mahoney officiating. Interment will be in the River View Cemetery, Hopewell Cape, NB. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Fairmont Home or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
