Joseph Austin Hicks MIRAMICHI, NB - Mr. Joseph Austin Hicks, 69, of Duke Street, Miramichi, passed away on June 5, 2002 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital. Born in Midgic, NB, he was the son of the late Medley Hicks and Leota (Wheaton) Hicks. He was employed as a cook, and affiliated with the Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Pearl Clark; one son, Joseph (Hazel) Hicks, Moncton, daughters; Deborah Good (Cleavey), St. Martins, NB, Sandra Quinland, Sylvia Clarke (Michael), Pembrook, ONT; brothers; Harold (Betty), Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, Claude (Margaret), Moncton, Carl, Salisbury, Leonard (Pat Ann), Sackville, Baxter (Pat), Riverview; sisters, Donna Sears (Larry), Sackville, Katherine (Victor) Wells, Cenetervillage, NB; stepson, Lester Clark; stepdaughters, Vera Knowles, Viola Russell, Miramichi, Edna McLean, Ontario; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Resting at Mahar's Funeral Home, Friday, June 7, From 2-4 and 7-9pm then transferred to Campbells' Funeral Home, Sackville, NB, remains resting, Saturday, June 8, from 7-9pm. Funeral service will be held at United Baptist Church, Wellington Street, Miramichi, NB, Saturday, June 8, 2002 at 11am. Funeral service will also be held Sunday, June 9 at 2pm. at Campbell's Funeral Home Chapel. Interment in Midgic Cemetery, Midgic, NB.
