Robert Earl Sutherland 1962-2002 Tuesday, September 17, 2002 marked the passing of Robert Sutherland, 40, at The Moncton Hospital. Born, January 28, 1962 in Moncton, he was the youngest son of Cecil and Louisa Sutherland. Robert graduated from Harrison Trimble High School and later from the New Brunswick Community College in Moncton. Since his graduation, he had been employed in the Office of Hub Meat Packers, until his illness in September, 2001. Robert loved all sports including; golf, tennis, and hockey and was an active participant for many years. Not content to merely watch the game he had to get in there and play the game. Robert was a member of the Uplands United Baptist Church, and his funeral service will be conducted by Rev. Jack Allen who was Pastor of Uplands United Baptist Church. A wonderful son and brother, he will be greatly missed by his family. Besides his parents, he is survived by his only sister, Rilla Melanson (Rick); three brothers, Darren (Anabel), Kerry (Joanne) and Brian (Jeanne); as well as several nieces and nephews, uncles, aunts, and cousins. He will also be missed by his long time friend Marla Cameron; her daughter Somer, as well as many other friends. Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home, 1177 Salisbury Road with visiting hours on Thursday September 19 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Friday September 20 at 2 PM in the chapel of the Fair Haven Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Allen officiating. A reception will follow in the family reception room of the funeral home. Donations in Robert's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
