We, the family of Ralph E. Ross regretfully announce his passing on February 15, 2009 at home.
Born on Hardwood Hill, he was the son of the late James and Annie (Brown) Ross.
Before retiring at an early age due to sickness, Ralph was a heavy equipment operator with Maritime Builders. Although he spent most of his life in Sydney, he spent a lot of time in Bay Roberts, Nfld.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Olga (Parsons) Ross; one daughter, Glenice (Kevin Head), Sydney; two sons, Bradley (Solonge), Sydney and Dereck (Geraldine), Nfld.; three grandchildren, Mike, N.B. and Bryden and Mason, Nfld., Also surviving are two sisters in Ontario, Verlie and Lillian and a brother, Ronnie in Sydney.
Ralph was predeceased by sisters, Emma, Laura and Rita and by brothers, William, Cecil, Abe and Jim.
By request there will be no visitation and a private family funeral service has been held in the All Faith Chapel of the Pier Community Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Myers officiating. Interment will be in Hardwood Hill Cemetery.
