Bessie Winnifred Tingley

Bessie Winnifred Tingley WINDSOR, NS - Bessie Winnifred Tingley passed away peacefully Thursday, November 21, 2002. She will be sadly missed by family and friends. Born on Cape Sable Island, NS, August 24,1909. She was the daughter of the late Rev. Wilfred Emerson and Flora N. (Sears) Carpenter. A long time resident of Riverside-Albert County, NB, she taught for many years at Riverside Consolidated School, and was active in the community and her local Church. Upon retirement, she and Cecil moved to Falmouth, and later to Windsor. She was a member of the Windsor United Baptist Church. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Winnie is survived by her seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Cecil Blanchard Tingley; only daughter, Joyce Elaine (Nelson); son-in-law Harry Nelson; great-granddaughter, Rachael Nelson. Final arrangements are entrusted to Lohnes-Beazley Funeral Home, Windsor, with visitation 2 to 4, 6 to 8 pm today. Funeral service will be held 2 pm Sunday, November 24, in the funeral home chapel, Rev. Jeffrey White officiating. She will be laid to rest 2 pm Monday, November 25, in Hopewell Hill Cemetery, Albert County, NB. Family flowers only please. Donations in her memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
