Lawrence Archibald Burns, 77, Fourchu Road, Fourchu, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2009, at the QEII, Halifax, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Fourchu, he was a son of the late John and Myrtle (Vantassel) Burns.
Lawrence was a member of Fourchu United Church and a retired fisherman.
Surviving are his sisters, Helen Pozer (Allister Sobey), New Castle, N.B. and Peggy (Phillip) Gwynn, Fourchu; several nieces and nephews, with whom he spent his final hours.
Lawrence was predeceased by his sister, Dolena Walker; brother, Roddie and loving dog, Kaliegh.
Visitation will take place at Fourchu United Church on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Fourchu United on Saturday 2 p.m., with Nancy Whitney, DLM officiating. Interment in Little Hill Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the burn unit at the QEII or Fourchu United Church.
