Ruth Elizabeth Kelly, 85 of North Sydney and more recently of Braeside Home for Special Care, Middle Musquodoboit, passed away February 18, 2009, in Braeside.
Born in New Waterford, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Jean (Murphy) Gregor.
In her younger years, she had received a business certificate from Mt. Allison University as a secretary, but chose not to work outside the home. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially walking and skating, had great interest in artistic painting and was an avid reader and bridge player.
Surviving are son, Harry (Valda); granddaughters, Alanna and Allison; great-grandson, Cameron and sister, Shirley Harvey.
She was predeceased by brothers, Harry and Fred; sisters, Vera and Doris.
Cremation has taken place. A funeral service will be held in St. James United Church, Upper Musquodoboit, at a later date. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, North Sydney.
Memorial donations may be made to St. James United Church, or a charity of choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit.
