Hazel Martell, 88, of Sydney and more recently, of the MacGillivray Guest Home, passed away Friday, Feb. 20, 2009.
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Elizabeth (Sampson) Martell.
Hazel was a member of St. Theresa parish, Sydney.
Surviving are her brother, Joe (Delores) Martell, Sydney and several nieces and nephews.
Hazel was predeceased by her sisters, Julie Martell, Mabel Taylor, Della Moore and Terry MacDonald.
A funeral service will be held at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Monday 3:30 p.m., with Rev. James Oliver officiating. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery.
