Kathy Mary Morrissey

Kathy Mary Morrissey 1956 - 2003 ALMA, N.B. - Kathy Mary Morrissey of Alma and formerly of Hillsborough passed away on Saturday, August 30th, 2003 at The Moncton City Hospital. She chose to laugh and insisted that everyone laugh with her. Tears were not allowed. She was born in Moncton on May 6, 1956, the daughter of Archie and Doreen (Campbell) Beaumont of Edgett's Landing. She was they type of person whose outgoing personality really shone through, once you met Kathy, you would never forget her. She was a special person whose ability to encourage others was remarkable. She was a very talented painter and a published artist who gave many classes to help others learn from her God given talents. She was active in her community and helped on the social committee for the Alma Senior Citizens making sure seniors have a day a month to get out and enjoy themselves. Helping others gave Kathy great joy. She also enjoyed the many hours she spent in her flower garden and cherished the time spent with her mother-in-law getting her gardens to flourish. During her illness, she was very positive and when you saw Kathy, her outlook on life really made you feel better, even though you were the one trying to encourage her, it was just her way. The most important thing to Kathy was her family; she was a beloved daughter, and loving and devoted wife and mother and also a loving sister. Her family will deeply miss having her to spend time with but have all the beautiful memories of her smile and her laugh and they will never forget the ways she enriched their lives forever. She will be deeply missed by her parents; her beloved husband, Gerry Morrissey; her precious children, Diana of Montreal and Bradley of Yellowknife; sisters, Marion Stevens (Garry) of Hillsborough, Carol Shannon (Danny) of Beaverbrook, Donna Reid (Jim) of Hillsborough, Anna Terris (Jim) of Winnipeg; brothers, Paul Beaumont (Pat) of Kennedy, Sask, Mark Beaumont (Linda) of Edgett's Landing; in-laws, Fred and Beulah Morrissey of Riverside-Albert; sister-in-law Joanne Butland (Todd) of Riverside-Albert; brother-in-laws, Ken Morrissey (Roxanne) of Edgett's Landing, Brian Morrissey (Jeanine) of Riverside-Albert.
