Robert William Patterson, 77, New Glasgow, formerly of Hopewell, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2009, at home surrounded by his family.
Born in Falmouth, he was a son of the late Clarence Henry and Edith Anne (Mosher) Patterson.
He had been employed with D. Porter & Son Limited, Stellarton for 26 years. He enjoyed wood working, watching western movies and going for drives.
Surviving are his daughters, Lynn Mattatall, New Glasgow; Vivian Patterson, Angus, Ont.; sons, David, Stellarton; William “Bill”, New Glasgow; Blaine “Clem” (Angie), Greenwood; sister, Louise (Bill) Sabean, Falmouth; Dorothy Walker, Windsor; brothers, Reuben and Everett, Falmouth; grandchildren, Harvey, Aaron, April “June”, Natalie, Byron, Travis, Daniel, Nathan, Shauna; great-grandchildren, Jessica, Alisha, Austin, Kera; numerous nieces , nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his former wife, Constance Rebecca (Eldridge); sisters, Marjorie Robarts, Geneva Coyle, Jean Hunter and Lena MacDonald; brothers, Lloyd, Gordon, Gilbert, Ronald, Francis and two brothers infancy.
The family will receive visitors 1-3 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow. A private service will take place.
