CRUICKSHANK, Pearl E. – 53, of Moose River, Cumberland County passed away Thursday, February 19, 2009 at Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro surrounded by her loving family. Born in Parrsboro, she was a daughter of Annie (Adams) Cruickshank and the late Gerald Cruickshank. Pearl worked in the restaurant business for many years. She was well known throughout the area for her ceramics and tole painting. She cherished her three Shelties more than anything, and enjoyed cross country skiing and bird watching. She is survived by a sister, Susan Fraser (Larry), Moose River; brothers, Gerald (Jenny), Oshawa, Ont.; Jeffrey, Edmonton, Alta.; Gregory, Amherst; James, Parrsboro; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by several aunts and uncles; a nephew, Adam; a great niece, Brooklyn in infancy. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday [February 23, 2009] at Smith’s Funeral Home, Parrsboro, Rev. David MacDonald officiating.
