Theresa (Lanteigne) Kelly September 10, 1927 to September 2, 2004 MIRAMICHI, NB - It is with great grief that we announce the passing of Theresa (Lanteigne) Kelly of (Loggieville) Miramichi, NB. She passed away on Thursday morning, September 2, 2004, at the Dr. George Dumont Hosptial in Moncton, NB. She was an incredible lady of many talents; Loving Mother and Awesome Grandmother, a wife of strength and character, steadfast sister, favorite Aunt and an amazing Registered Nurse. Best friend too many, witty, intelligent, courageous, reader of tea leaves, spell binding story teller, lover of good jokes, politician, business woman and keen believer in good old fashioned common sense. She had the best smelling home in Miramichi and made all souls feel welcome with a cup of tea and compassionate ear. Theresa was born September 10, 1927 in Loggieville, NB to Jeramiah Lanteigne and Margaret Ann (Robichaud) Lanteigne. Youngest of five siblings, she started her remarkable career in Nursing in 1946. She served at hospitals in Campbellton, NB, Toronto, ON and both hospitals in former Chatham and Newcastle, NB. With instinctive and uncanny nursing sense, she helped countless people in need and continued to do so after deciding to remain at home full time. She married Ronald William Kelly in Loggieville, NB on August 5, 1959. Theresa was predeceased by her parents, Jeramiah and Margaret Lanteigne of Loggieville, NB; brother, Percy Lanteigne of Toronto, ON; sister, Marguerite (Lanteigne) MacDonald of Loggieville, NB; dear son, Little Jack Kelly, 1962 to 1965 of Loggieville, NB. She is survived by her husband, Ronald Kelly of Loggieville, NB; son, Teddy (Robert) Kelly and his wife Marion (Dickson) Kelly and their two daughters, Jenson and Taylor of Miramichi, NB; son, Gordon Peter Kelly and his wife Loretta (Peterson) Kelly and their three children, Cody, Brett and Aylssa of Point-Aux-Carr, NB, son, Mark Anthony Kelly and his wife Tara (McCluskey) Kelly of Miramichi, NB; daughter, Tracy Ann Kelly and her partner, Rene Kingston of Moncton, NB; sister, Velma (Lanteigne) Allard and her husband Eddie Allard of Toronto, ON; brother, Gerald Lanteigne and his wife Betty (Renault) Lanteigne of Loggieville, NB; Cat, Sir Charles (Charlie) Kelly. At the request of Theresa there will be no visitation at the funeral home. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday, September 6, 2004 at 11 a.m. from St Michael's Basilica, with Father John Fraser officiating. A private family burial will follow in St Andrew's Cemetery, Loggieville, NB. At the request of the family donations to NB Heart & Stroke Foundation, NB Diabetic Association, or a memorial of ones choice would be appreciated. Arrangements in care of Davidson's Funeral Home (622-7464).
