Matilda Devina 'Tillie' Epifano, 73, of East James Street, Sydney, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2009, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Mary (Camus) Pino.
Surviving are her husband of 48 years, Louie; sons, Louie Jr. (Sharon), Edwardsville and Dominic (Lisa), Halifax; grandchildren, Christopher and Benjamin; brothers, Anthony, Sydney and Harvey, Cheticamp; sisters, Frances (the late Tony) Baryluk, Sydney, Margaret (Micheal) Parks, Scotch Lake, Rosina (Pete) Bertolo, Hamilton, Germaine (the late Frank) Jacobs, Sydney, Virginia (George) Pike, Sydney, Cecilia (Roy) Hamlett, New Jersey, Lidia and Hilda, Cheticamp; numerous nieces and nephews.
Tillie was predeceased by her sisters, Rita and Adeline; brothers, Americo, Mario, John, Joseph and Rudy.
Visitation will take place at Sydney Memorial Chapel today (Tuesday) 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at Holy Redeemer Church on Thursday at 11 a.m., with Rev. Errol MacDonald officiating. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Holy Redeemer Building Fund.
