Passed away suddenly but peacefully on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, age 80 years. Predeceased by her beloved husband Hubert (2000), parents Leo and Gladys; sisters Bernice Grant and Jean Vokey. Left with loving and treasured memories are her devoted children Dianne (Brian Kennedy), Randy (Leslie Ann), Janice (Craig Pippy), Lee (friend Gerard) and Stephen (Karen); precious grandchildren: Corey (Mandy), Christopher, Bradley, Ryan and Nana’s Boy Mark; sisters Helen Maloney, Ruth Penny (Dennis), Marie Dean and Marguerite Godfrey; brothers: Albert (Ann) and Harry (Claire); sisters-in-law Jean Penny (Ron), Rose Debourke (Ed) and Maude Noseworthy, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and good friends. A special thanks to the staff of St. Clare’s (4 West) and Chancellor Park (2nd Floor East) for taking such wonderful and loving care of our treasured mom. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation will be on Friday 5 p.m. - 9 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, March 9, 2009 at 12 noon from the Basilica of St. John the Baptist. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to the Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
