Walter Arthur Minshull 1940-2006 Sackville, N.B - Walter Arthur Minshull, age 65, passed away at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, November 8, 2006. Born on December 19, 1940, in Halifax, he was the son of the late Norman and Jessie (Rigby) Minshull. Walter was a chartered accountant and worked in public practice from 1960 until 1974 in Halifax, Yarmouth and Kentville, N.S. He was then employed by Atlantic Wholesalers from 1974 until 1988. Walter then opened his private practice in Sackville in 1992 and worked until 2005. He served as a board member with the South-East Regional Health Authority from 2003 until 2005 and was a member of the Sackville Chamber of Commerce. Walter was a member and former board member of the Sackville Golf and Country Club. He was a volunteer for the Meals on Wheels program, loved to buy local art, and had a great love for being outside and doing his yard work. Walter will be sadly missed by his wife of 42 years, Diane (Gould) Minshull of Sackville, N.B; two daughters Stephanie and Andrea Minshull, both of Milford, N.S.; sister Chris (John) Vey of Falmouth, N.S; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Derek in 1968 and his parents Norman Minshull in 1987 and Jessie (Rigby) Minshull in 1983. Arrangements are entrusted to Campbell's Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B (364-8188). Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or service by request of the family. Family and friends are invited to a time of fellowship and remembrance on Saturday, November 18, 2006, from 1 to 3 pm at Campbell's Funeral Home in Sackville, N.B. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Walter may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the charity of one's choice.
