Muriel Christine Miller, 73, passed away peacefully at home March 9, 2009.
Born in New Glasgow on November 14, 1935, Muriel was the daughter of the late Harold and Muriel (MacDonald) Fraser.
Muriel was a member of Trinity United Church where she taught C.G.I.T. for several years. She was an employee of the Royal Bank of Canada for many years.
Surviving are her husband of 52 years, Robert (Bob) Miller; daughters: Carol Heighton (Ron Raynard), New Glasgow; Jane (Joel Sellers) Miller, New Glasgow; Gail (Brian) MacDonnell, Brooklin, Ontario; Nancy (Robert) Harris, Calgary, Alberta; son-in-law, Buddy Heighton, Canmore, Alberta; brother, Alan Fraser, Halifax; sisters-in-law, Joan Fraser, Riverton; and Aileen Fraser, Fort Erie, Ontario. She will also be missed and fondly remembered by her grandchildren: Andrew, Sarah, Benjamin, Iain, Laura, Luke, Henry, Fiona, and Evelyn; as well as her beloved cats, Simon and Timmy.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Gordon and Ernest Fraser.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation at the request of the deceased. A family graveside service will be held at a future date.
No flowers by request. Donations in Muriel's memory may be made to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
