Katie F. Flood 1936-2007 Katie Flood passed away quietly at The Moncton Hospital on Thursday, Oct. 11, 2007 with her family at her bedside. Born in Moncton, April 24th, 1936 she was the daughter of the late George and Josephine (Payne) Powers. Surviving Katie is her husband of 53 years, Herbert; son, James; daughters, Jean and Kathy; as well as grandsons, Shayne, Steven, Matthew and Jonathan; and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving are her sisters, Reta Lutes (William), Mildred Killam (late Leverett) and brother, Gilbert Powers (Brenda). She will be missed by her cat Rascal. Katie was a member of Uplands Baptist Church since 1958, and following 28 years of service with Eaton's, Katie enjoyed her retirement spending time with her family and friends, attending church functions, traveling, taking cruises, and bus tours. Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home, with visitation on Sunday October 14th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and Monday from 9 to 11 am. The funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Monday, October 15th at Uplands Baptist Church, 398 Salisbury Road, Pastor Gordon James presiding. A reception for Katies' friends and family will follow the service in the church hall. Interment in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or a charity of choice would be appreciated.
