The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Wednesday, March 11, 2009, of Gerald “Gerry” Bernard, of the Barbara Weit Road, Travellers Rest, aged 54 years. Born in Charlottetown, he was the son of the late Edna Waite. Survived by his wife, Joyce (Sherren) Bernard, daughter Jennie (Wayne) Mosher, Travellers Rest, his Special Little Buddy, grandson, Isaac Mosher, sister Evelyn (Daley) Comeau, Toronto, Ont., brothers Don (Evelyn) Waite, Summerside, Grant Bernard, Sherbrooke, Wayne (Irene) Bernard, Sherbrooke, mother-in-law, Jean Burt, Kensington, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law, Carol Hogg (Urban Gallant), Miscouche, Darlene (Ken) MacDougall, Miscouche, Nancy (Phil) Hughes, Summerside, numerous nieces and nephews, and by special friends Carl and Donna Montgomery, Travellers Rest. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Saturday, then to St. Paul’s Church, Summerside, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment later in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial donations to the Prince County Hospital Foundation or the Children’s Wish Foundation would be appreciated.
