Of Deer Lake passed peacefully away at the Palliative Care Unit in St. John’s, surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at the age of 68. Predeceased by his parents, William and Emmie Hurley, sister Pauline of Cupids, NL and leaving to mourn with fond memories his loving and devoted wife Genista (Evelly) and children: Michelle Ploughman (Jim), Carla Hurley (Anthony Wiseman) and David Hurley (Lesley); grandchildren: Luke Ploughman, Sean Ploughman, Julia Wiseman, Anna Hurley and Thomas Hurley; brothers: Daryl Hurley (Diane) and Jerome Hurley (Karen); sisters: Edna Godfrey (Parker) and Marlene Berriau (James); brother and sister-in-law: Ed and Claudine Evelly; mother-in-law Alma Bugden, and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
