Isabel Anne Gardner 1931 - 2008 The death of Isabel Anne Gardner, wife of Gerry Gardner, occurred at The Moncton Hospital on Monday, July 28th, following a brief illness. Born in Rexton on September 2, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Gladys (Hudson) Girvan. Isabel truly loved her family and friends and will be fondly remembered for her love of gardens and nature, her great cooking and, in particular, her homemade bread which was a favourite among all who sampled it. At one time an avid golfer, she had been a member of Lakeside Golf and Country Club, as well as an associate member of the Air Force Veterans Club. She is survived by her husband, Gerry Gardne; her daughters, Lynn Geddes of Ottawa, Lee Geddes (Allan Chaulk) of Halifax; her granddaughter, Aynsley Geddes of Ottawa; her brother, Don Girvan (Janet) of Moncton; her mother-in-law, Pearley Gardner of Pefferlaw, ON; as well as several nieces, nephews and brothers and sisters-in-law. In addition to her parents, Isabel was predeceased by her first husband, Robert (Bob) Geddes, and her brother Claude Girvan. The family will be receiving visitors at Cadman Bowness Funeral Home (857-1110) 114 Alma Street Moncton with visiting hours Thursday July 31 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Her funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1 at 11 am in St. John's United Church, Moncton, followed by a reception in the church hall. Interment will be in Fairhaven Cemetery.
