Savoie Lionel

Savoie Lionel 1917-2008 Lionel Savoie, 90, of Manoir Saint-Jean Baptiste, Bouctouche and formerly of Saint-Maurice de Kent, has passed away peacefully at the residence on Tuesday July 29th, 2008. Married to Léona (Allain) Savoie of Bouctouche, he was born in Saint-Maurice de Kent on December 30th, 1917 to the late Maurice and the late Annie (LeBlanc) Savoie. Lionel was a farmer, and worked for 13 years as a floor layer with Kent Homes, Bouctouche. He is survived by his wife Léona, his two children; Gisèle Landry (Yvon) of Saint John, and Elzé (Murielle) of Fredericton, two sisters; Aldéa Savoie (Alderic) of Bouctouche, Germaine Allain of Saint-Maurice de Kent, one brother; Léandre (Rose) of St-Stephen, six grandchildren; Denis, Paul, Diane, Shawn, Michael, Lisa, four great grandchildren; Pierce, Jenna, Emily, Ricky, and several nephews & nieces. He was predeceased by one daughter, Norma (1995), and two brothers, Léonard and Jaddus. Visitation will be held at the Sainte-Anne de Kent Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Sainte-Anne de Kent on Wednesday July 30th, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and on Thursday from 9 to 10:45 am. Funeral Mass will held on Thursday July 31st, 2008 at 11:00 am. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. In Lionel's memory donations can be made to the Dr Georges L Dumont Foundation.
