Gerry J. Leger 1945-2008 Sunday, August 31,2008, Ottawa, Ontario. I lost my love and soul mate. He died peacefully at home surrounded by family after a short illness. Gerry leaves behind his "love" Carolyn Colpitts-Leger; son John (Anji Bhattacharyya); daughter, Christine (Paul Weston) and adoring grandchildren Adam, Nathan, Sage and baby Grace. Gerry was predeceased by his mother Marie, father Gerard; sister Julie LeBlanc; brother Val; Father-in-law John Lane Colpitts and Brother-in-law Jack Colpitts. Also greatly missed by sisters Alaine Siritsky (Michel), Annette Fairweather; brother Ron (Karen); sisters Angela Wilson (Doug), Louise Boulter (Robert); brother-in-law Ferdie LeBlanc; sisters-in-law Ruth Leger, Sherran Bowbrick (David), Bonnie Stevens (Blair) and mother-in-law Madge Colpitts. Leaves behind many nieces, nephews, friends and colleagues. He will be deeply missed by all. Gerry's career in the public service (1976-2006) was with the Solicitor General of Canada where he held senior management positions, retiring as Director of Technology and Information Systems.
