Gerald "Gerry" Aubrey Martin 1953 - 2008 Gerry Martin, 55, of Dawson Settlement passed away on September 20th, 2008 at his home. Gerry was born in Moncton on March 22, 1953. He was the son of the late Aubrey and Charlotte (Weir) Martin. He was a real outdoorsman and enjoyed going four wheeling through the woods. He also enjoyed just driving around the backwoods of Albert County with his brother, Dale. If he was home you could find Gerry out in the garage tinkering on all kinds of small engines, he could fix anything. He was also an animal lover and had a special place in his heart for dogs. Gerry was a special kind of person who did not want anyone worrying about him. He always put others first. He will never be forgotten and will live on in the hearts of his family and many friends forever. He will be deeply missed by his brother, Dale Martin of Dawson Settlement ; sisters, Carol Eagles (Fred) of Lakeville and Esther Douthwright of Turtle Creek and brother-in-law, Kevin Wadman. He will also be sadly missed by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews , cousins and friends. Besides his parents he was predeceased by two sisters, Sandra and Christine ; three brothers, Terry, Robert and John. Honoring Gerry's own wishes there will be no visitation. A Memorial Service in his memory will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at 2:00pm with Pastor David Ross officiating. Interment will be in the Mountain View Cemetery, Lower Cape, N.B. For those who wish donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
