MELANSON, FLORA - 1921 - 2009 - Flora Melanson, 88 of Notre-Dame has passed away Monday July 13th, 2009 at the Dr Georges L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton. She was married to the late Eric Melanson (1977). Born in Saint-Antoine on January 19th, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and the late Adéline (Gosselin) Richard. She will be greatly missed by her seven children, Gloria Aucoin (Irvin) of Woburn, Mass, Ella Dupuis (Victor), Diane Bourque (Maurice) both of Notre-Dame, Emilia Payson (Richard) of Torrington, Conn. J.-P. (Rose) of Notre-Dame, Robert (Corine), Victor (Annette) both of Gardner, Mass; five sisters, Marie Bourque (Claude) of Moncton, Florence Gosselin (Aimé) of Templeton, Mass, Thérèse LeBanc, Cécile Richard, Alma Richard all of Saint-Antoine; one brother, Zoel of Gardner, Mass; sixteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Flora was predeceased by three sons, Ronald, Bernard and Ernest, five sisters, Edna, Anita, Aurélie, Yvonne, Lorette, and four brothers, Maurice, Henri, Elzéar, and Joseph. At the request of the family there will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be held at the Notre-Dame du Sacré Coeur Roman Catholic Church, Notre Dame on Thursday July 16th, 2009 at 11:00 am. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
