Levis, Que. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving mother, Ethel M. Herridge HallÉ on Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008, at the Hotel Dieu, LÉvis, QuÉ. surrounded by her loving family. Born in North Sydney in 1913, the daughter of George Herridge and Margaret Hamilton, she was predeceased by her husband, Lucien HallÉ, pilot, St. Lawrence River in 1966, two brothers, Daniel and Charles, two sisters, Geneva and Marguerite, her niece's husband, Robert (Bob) Clarke and most recently her son, Peter in 2007. Ethel is survived by one daughter, Marguerite Morissette, St. Romuald, QuÉ.; three sons, Paul, Emile and Mark, all of QuÉbec City; as well as nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, several nephews and nieces, in particular, Shirley Clarke of North Sydney, and great-nephews and nieces, some of whom live in the North Sydney area. Ethel was an adherent member of St. Matthew Wesley United Church and a member of the North Sydney Senior Citizens and Pensioners Club where she served as secretary treasurer for many years. Ethel was cremated in QuÉbec. Her ashes, along with those of her son, Peter, will be taken to North Sydney in the summer of 2009 for a simple family burial and tribute at the Lakeview Cemetery.
