1918-2010 - Arva Marie O\'Connor, 91, of Riverside-Albert went to be with her Lord and Savoir on February 27th, 2010 , she passed away at the Moncton Hospital. Arva was born in Harvey Bank on June 29, 1918 the daughter of Edward and Alice (Pearson) Brewster. Arva helped run O\'Connor Garage and Service Station with her husband Carlton in Riverside-Albert for a number of years and after retirement they looked after Square Lake Lodge. She attended the Riverside-Albert Baptist Church and also the Harvey Baptist Church. Arva\'s faith was very important to her, she was a very sweet lady who always had a kind word for all and lived her life for the Lord. She was a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother. \"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.\" John 3:16 She will be deeply missed by her beloved husband, Carlton of Forest Dale Home; daughter, Connie Reid (Paul) of Bayfield, N.S.; sons, Rolf O\'Connor (Letha) , Gary O\'Connor (Diana) both of Harvey Bank and Martin (Debbie) of Eastern Passage, N.S.; her 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Besides her parents she was predeceased by sister, Hilda; brother, Arnold and half brothers, Glen White and Lester White.
Honoring Arva\'s own wishes there will be no visitation. The Funeral Service will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010 at 2:00pm with grandson Dana O\'Connor officiating. Interment will be held in the Bayview Cemetery, Harvey, N.B. at a later date. Following the service the family will be meeting with relatives and friends for further fellowship and for refreshments. No flowers please. Donations to the Riverside-Albert Baptist Church , Forest Dale Home or to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
