Born in Florence, Billy was the son of the late James and Julia (Stubbert) Munro. He was a member of St. Joseph Parish, Bras d'Or. Billy had made many friends along the way, through his years in mining, working on the lake boats, playing hockey and darts, coaching and umpiring baseball, ice fishing, and hunting. He had a wonderful sense of humor, and truly loved to entertain. He loved a good party and could be found at many, singing, with his guitar in hand, surrounded by family and friends far and wide. Billy is survived by his wife Yvonne (Campbell), and his three children, Jimmy (Brenda), Wayne (Tracy), and Tracey (Jody). He was so proud of his seven grandchildren; Chris, Josh, Jessica, Jeffery, William, Jordi, and Sophie. They brought the greatest joy to his life.
