81, North Sydney Marion Labrie, 81, a resident of the Northside Community Guest Home, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2008, at the residence. Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late George and Catherine (MacNeil) Burke. During her many years living in Halifax, Marion worked at Buckley's Drug Store on Jubilee Road. Marion is survived by her loving husband, Gerry, also a resident of the Northside Community Guest Home; her sister, Isabel (Frank) Kehoe, Halifax; her brother, Gerry (Marina) Burke, Sarnia, Ont.; and by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Jennie Nicholson, Helen Martell, Peggy MacDonald, a sister in infancy and by a brother, Lawrence. There will be no visitation for the late Mrs. Labrie. Funeral service will be held Saturday, Jan. 3, 2009, at 11 a.m. in T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel Rev. J.A. MacNeil officiating. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks.
