1924-2009 Glace Bay We, the family of the late Cecelia Mackie, a former resident of Mackie's Lane, Gardiner Mines, regret to announce her passing. Cecelia passed away Thursday, Jan. 1, 2009, at the Glace Bay Health Care Facility. Born in England, she was the daughter of the late Dominic Joseph and Cora May (King) Sacco. She was a former member of St. James Church, Gardiner Mines. Cecelia is survived by a daughter, Zabrina, Calgary; a granddaughter, Candace. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, John Daniel Mackie, brother, Dominic Vincent and sister, Rose May. In honouring Cecelia's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay.
