1916 - 2010 - Edythe Florence Crawford \"aunt Dee Dee\" of Riverview, passed away with family by her side at her residence on Friday, March 5, 2010 in her 94th year. Born in Saint John, NB on September 21, 1916 she was the daughter of the late Elijah and Prudence (Bradbury) Russell. Edythe was a vibrant and devoted member of the Baha\'i faith. She was a former girl guide, loved to read and write songs and stories. She was also a world wide traveller. Aunt Dee Dee will be remembered as a sweet and gentle soul who would do anything to help anyone. Left with fond memories are her daughter Carolyn J. Crawford of Halifax; son Dr. Tom Crawford (Deborah Graves) of Sydney River, NS; granddaughters Caitlin and Sarah Crawford. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Carson Thomas Crawford in November 2009; sister Evelyn Curry; brothers Will Deering, Harold Russell, George Russell, and Malcolm Russell.
The funeral service was held at The Riverview Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, March 7, 2010 at 11:00am with burial at Fernhill Cemetery, Saint John, NB at 2:00pm.
