69, Glace Bay Sarah 'Sally' MacDonald of 3 MacDonald Lane, Glace Bay, passed away peacefully at home, Friday, Jan. 2, 2009. Born in Glace Bay, she was a daughter of the late Lloyd and Hilda (Ogley) Hall and birth father, Bert McMullin. At one time she was an avid bowler, card player and she loved to make crafts. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was a member of St. John's parish, Glace Bay. She is survived by three daughters, Brenda MacDougall, Toronto, Ont., Kim McAuley, Shelburne, Ont., and Paulette Donovan (Bruce), Glace Bay; two sons, Glenn MacDonald, Burlington, Ont., and Keith MacDonald (Joanne), Dartmouth, N.S.; three sisters, Beverly Arnott, Mississauga, Ont., Karen Nolan, Glace Bay, and Sandra MacKenzie (Tom), Glace Bay; two brothers, Earl Hall, Ontario, and Ralph Hall, Glace Bay; nine grandchildren, Timmy MacDonald, Danielle MacDonald, Kyle Donovan, Daniel MacDougall, Jenna Donovan, Dylan MacDonald, Brandon MacDonald, Eric MacDonald and Sarah MacDonald. She will be sadly missed by special friend, Joe Nicholson. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a special aunt, Jenny MacDougall. Visitation for Sarah will be held in Curry's Funeral Home, 775 Main St., Glace Bay, Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. John's Church with Fr. Leo Boone officiating. Interment at a later date in the parish cemetery. Donations in memory of Sarah may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
