Passed away after a lengthy illness on Monday, March 8, 2010, at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, age 70 years. Citizen of Newfoundland since 1963, she was recognized for her years of dedicated community service. Leaving to mourn, her loving husband Dr. Satti Paddi Reddy; mother Suryakantham; brother Mohan (Jaya); children: Sethu (Lalitha), Bharati (Bhanu Muram) and Suresh (Sathya). She will be sadly missed by her eight grandchildren whom she loved dearly - Sandeep and Chetan Muram; Pranav, Suparna, Vishal and Pavitra Reddy; and Paavani and Akhilesh Reddy. She will be missed by her extended family here in Canada, USA and India and also a large circle of friends. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Wednesday, March 10th from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m., Thursday from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. A Hindu service will take place at the Hindu Temple of St. John’s on Penney Lane, Thursday evening March 11, 2010 at 6 p.m. to be followed by refreshments. A special thank you to all the medical staff of St. Clare’s (incl. Drs. Michael Berman, Irene Vasilu and Proton Rahman) and heartfelt appreciation for the nurses and staff of 7 West. We would like to express our deepest thanks to the Indian community for their support and help during this difficult time. We also extend our sincere appreciation to all our relatives and friends who came from far to wish her well in these last few months.
