It is with profound sadness that the family announce the death of Ashley Elizabeth Doherty, which occurred unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 10, 2010. Ashley was a grade 11 student at Harbour View High School. She loved reading, playing with her dog Mason and spending time with family and friends. She loved watching her dad play football for the Wanderers as well as spa and shopping days with her mom. She is survived by her loving parents Ben Allan and Regan E. Doherty; grandmothers Bette J. (Green) Doherty of Quispamsis and Connie Palmer (Ronnie Williams) of Saint John; great-grandmother Rose Doherty; uncles Michael H. Doherty of Quispamsis, Charles Allan (Deanna Galbraith) and Steven Allan (Kim Allan); aunts Susan Melvin (Keith) of Quispamsis, Cidy McKeown (Crystal) and Keenan Wheaton (Derek); cousins Luke Melvin, Ethan Allan, Nicole Foggo, Emily Arsenault, Alexandra Allan, Ashley Bourgeois (Nic), Matthew Eatmon, Shane Wheaton, Cynthia Palmer and many extended cousins, uncles and aunts and great uncles and aunts; her best friend always Erica Sanderson. Ashley was predeceased by her grandfathers Harry J. Doherty and James Allan.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd. Saint John (646-2424) with visitation on Saturday and Sunday March 13 & 14 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Monday March 15, 2010 at 11 a.m. Interment will be held in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
