McKinnon, Murray E. (1924-2010) - The death of Murray Ellsworth McKinnon, 85, of "Wood Point", occurred at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Friday, March 12, 2010. Murray was a son of the Late Thomas and Minnie McKinnon-Amos.
Murray was a veteran of World War II. Murray will be sadly missed by his wife of 61 years, Mildred (nee Nickerson), a son George (Kathy) of Moncton and daughter Donna (Gilbert) Vineham, Moncton, four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Murray's remains have been entrusted into the care and supervision of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (364-1300) from where visitation will be held 6-9 pm on Saturday, March 13, 2010. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, March 14, 2010 at 2 pm. Pastor Ryan Skaling officiating. Donations in Murray's memory can be made to the Westcock Cemetery, The Drew Nursing Home or a charity of the donor's choice. Royal Canadian Legion Branch #26 will hold a remembrance service at 7:30 pm from the funeral home on Saturday. The family would like to express their deep appreciation for Dr. H. Popma and the staff of the Drew Nursing Home for their wonderful and compassionate care.
