Shirley M. Johnson
1930-2010
The death of Shirley Mary Johnson, 79, of Westcock occurred at the Drew Nursing Home on Friday, March 12, 2010.
Shirley was a daughter of the late Hersey and Linda (Fahey) Patterson.
Shirley had worked at Mount Allison University for over 20 years at the switchboard and the bookstore. She was a member of St. Vincent’s Roman Catholic Church. She enjoyed outdoor activities, especially long walks on the marsh.
Shirley will be sadly missed by her husband of 57 years Clarence, of Westcock; three children, Judy (Mike) Barclay, Halifax, Shelley (Brad) Dalzell, Surrey, B.C., David (Sandra), Oromocto; six grandchildren, Megan, David, Michael, Brett, Sarah, Molly; sisters, Phyllis Phinney, Saint John and Delma (Peter) Gomille, Campbell River, B.C.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville (506-364-1300). Cremation has taken place. The ashes will be interred in the Westcock Cemetery at a later date. A celebration of Shirley’s life will be held in May.
The family would like to extend a thank you to the staff of the Drew Nursing Home for their excellent and compassionate care.
