DANIKA LECOUTEUR-MORAIS, 15, of Lakeville, passed away on Monday March 15, 2010 following a motor vehicle-bicycle accident. Born on May 6, 1994 in Moncton, NB, she was the daughter of Chantal LeCouteur-Morais and Hervé Morais. She was a grade 9 student at L’Odyssée High School. Danika was very artistic. She enjoyed music and drawing. She also had a passion for cooking, always willing to create new dishes. She was a very caring person who loved to laugh and always had a smile on her face. Besides her parents, she is survived by her brother, Nicholas; her maternal grandmother: Jeanne D’Arc LeCouteur; her paternal grandparents: Nazaire and Simonne Morais of Baie-Sainte-Anne; four aunts: Stella LeCouteur (Henri) of Saint-Louis-de-Kent, Joanne LeCouteur (Gerard) of Irishtown, Barbara LeCouteur (Joe) of Miramichi and Gérène Morais of Sackville; two uncles: Georges LeCouteur (Diane) of Kent Junction and Kenneth LeCouteur of Vancouver; her cousins: Tania, Sally, Stéphanie, Louise, Caroline, Isabelle, Michelle, Jennifer, Victoria, Ricky, Samuel, Kory, Pierre, Daniel, Marc and Dennis, as well as many friends. She was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Jérôme LeCouteur.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette’s Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Thursday March 18 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and on Friday March 19 from 10 am until time of departure (10:45). The funeral mass will be celebrated at Saint-Louis-de-France R.C. Church (Lewisville) on Friday March 19 at 11 am. Interment will be in Baie-Sainte-Anne parish Cemetery.
