It is with saddened hearts that the family of Mildred Elizabeth Daniel of New Maryland, N.B. announce her passing on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton. She was 90. Born September 11, 1919 in New Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Wesley Ernest and Eva Mae (O’Leary) Fletcher. Mildred had been a very active and faithful member of St. Mary the Virgin Anglican Church in New Maryland before a new church, The Church of the Holy Trinity, was established in Nasonworth, N.B. She was also an active member of the A.C.W. holding a number of offices throughout her years of service. Mildred worked at the Lady Beaverbrook Residence on U.N.B. Campus and the Hartt Boot and Shoe Company for a number of years. She is survived by her loving and devoted daughter Beckey of New Maryland; two sisters, Althea Fraser of New Maryland and Lynda Johnson (Brian) of Saint John; one brother Paul Fletcher (Carol) of Charters Settlement; nieces and nephews. Mildred was predeceased by her parents; her husband Clarence William Daniel; a son Michael and a brother Ernest J. Fletcher.
Mildred will be resting at The Church of the Holy Trinity, 1224 Route 101 Highway, Nasonworth, N.B. where the family will receive friends on Friday, March 19, 2010 from 12:30 P.M. to 1:30 P.M. followed by the funeral service at 2:00 P.M. Rev. Bruce McKenna will officiate. Honorary pallbearers for the service will be Vaughan Charters and Jonathan Charters. Interment will be in St. Mary the Virgin Anglican Church Cemetery, New Maryland, at a later date. No flowers by request. Memorials to St. Mary the Virgin Anglican Church Cemetery Fund or the Fredericton S.P.C.A. would be appreciated by the family.
