Francis Redmond, 81, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2010, in Amherst Hospital.
Born Aug. 14, 1928, in Glace Bay, N.S., son of Frank Redmond of Glace Bay and Eleanor Pearl Penny of Bishop’s Falls, N.L.
Frank is survived by his sister, Mary Craig, Charlottetown; brothers, Gerard Peter Redmond, Toronto, and Cyril Joseph Redmond, Sydney.
He will be dearly missed by sons, Michael Redmond, Whitehorse, Yukon, Bruce Sinclair, Toronto, Ont., and daughter, Taylor Redmond, Spencer’s Island, N.S.
Frank was an independent business man starting at age 15 with his first bake shop in Glace Bay, grocery store and bakeshop in Toronto and multiple businesses owned and operated in Faro, Yukon during his 40 years spent in the Yukon.
