46, Halifax/Sydney Mines It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend, Wayne Young, on Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2009. Born in Sydney Mines, he was the son of the late Archie and Helen (Walsh) Young. He was a member of Immaculate Conception parish, Sydney Mines. Wayne was employed for many years at the QEII in Halifax as a pharmacy technician. He leaves behind many friends and co-workers who will miss his humour and quick wit. He had an easy going nature and loved to joke and carry on with others. He loved golfing, curling and his dog, Colby. He will be forever missed by his family and friends. Wayne is survived by his brothers, Kevin (Veronica), Sydney Mines, Curtis (Sheila), Bras d'Or, and Brian (Wendy), Oromocto, N.B.; his sisters, Linda and Diane (Trevor), both of Sydney Mines, Susan (David) Buis, North Sydney, and Leanne (Danny Mansfield), Petawawa, Ont. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews, who will always love and miss their "Uncle Wayne," Breanna, Brittany and Jacob Buis, Wayne Conway (Lindsey), Kayleigh and Damon Noseworthy, Cody, Bailey and Meghan Mansfield, Kaley Long, Kristen, Brody and Brayden and Chris. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Shelly Julian. There will be no visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday at 2 p.m. in Immaculate Conception Church with Fr. J.J. MacDonald officiating. A reception will follow in the Centennial Room at the church.
