Sydney/Edmonton We the family of Gwendoline Canning sadly announce her passing on Jan. 20, 2009. Born in Lymington, England, Gwen was the daughter of Fred and Margaret Figgins. She will be sadly missed by her son, Brian (Susan); daughters, Lois (Michael Ferguson), Debra (Stewart Macdonald), Valerie (Bert Wilson) and Shauna (John Mombourquette). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and sisters, Cynthia Yates and Esmee Cook, Great Britain. She was predeceased by husband, Norman, a daughter in infancy and sisters, Amy and Molly. By request of our mother, there will be no visitation. A family service will be held at a later date.
