70, New Waterford It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of Ronald A (Ron) Rich, on Jan. 22, 2009. Born in New Waterford, he was the son of the late James and Annie (Campbell) Rich. Ron was a coal miner for 30+ years with Devco and he enjoyed walking with his buddies, as well as listening to his fiddle music. Ron is survived by his sons, Brad Rich and Keith (Dayle) Rich, both of Glace Bay; grandchildren, Allison, Cameron and Ty; and his companion, Valerie. Ron is also survived by his brother, Wayne (Mitchie); and sisters-in-law, Carmel Rich and Theresa Rich; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, David (Bruss) and James Jr. Cremation has taken place by his request and a chapel service will be held Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009, 2 p.m., at McLellan Brothers Funeral Home, 3183 Plummer Ave., New Waterford, 862-7500, with Rev.
