81, Petit Etang Ned Edward LeBlanc, 81 of Petit Etang, Inverness County, died Jan. 22, 2009, at the QEII Infirmary, Halifax. Born in Cheticamp, he was the son of the late Simon M. and Mathilde (Aucoin) LeBlanc. He was a member of St. Peter's Church, Cheticamp. He is survived by three daughters, Aline (Brian) Keys, Fredericton, N.B., Denise (Mike) Nichols, South Carolina, Gisele (Gaston) Doucet, Cheticamp; three sisters, Henriette Chiasson, New Waterford, Zabeth Deveaux and Therese LeBlanc, both of Cheticamp; seven grandchildren, Jason Keys, Kevin Deveaux, Guy Doucet, Joshua Keys, Tina Bolden, Glen Doucet and Alison Keys. He was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth (Maillet) LeBlanc, brothers, Charlie LeBlanc, Joseph LeBlanc, Mederick LeBlanc, Henry LeBlanc and Paulo LeBlanc, one sister, Mary Julie MacDonald. Visitation will be held Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Cheticamp Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m., Fr. Peter LeBlanc officiating. Interment in the parish cemetery.
