Turner, Joseph Ralph - 1922 - 2010 - BAIE VERTE - The death of Ralph Turner, 88, of Baie Verte occurred at the Cumberland Regional Health Centre on Friday, March 26, 2010. Ralph was the son of the late Frederick and Elizabeth (Baxter) Turner. Ralph was a member of the St. James United Church in Baie Verte. A farmer all his life, he loved the woods and being with the animals. He was a talented craftsman and created beautiful wood frames and carvings. He will be remembered as a kind, caring, and nurturing man. Ralph will be missed by a sister Mrs Bea (Late Arnold) Tingley, of Halifax; nephew, Daryl Tingley, Fredericton; niece Lois Bariman, Halifax, as well as his good friends, George Fillmore, Mike (Jillian) Spence, Sherry & Shelly Fillmore, Stanley and Lois Fillmore, and Norma. Ralph was predeceased by his parents.
Ralph\'s remains have been entrusted into the care and supervision of Jones Funeral Home, 3 West Main St, Port Elgin, (538-2241) from where visitation will be held on Monday, March 29, 2010 from 7 to 9 pm. A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 from the funeral home. William Drysdale, DLM, officiating.
