Murphy, Charles Norby - 60 of Whitecourt, AB and formerly of Havelock, passed away suddenly at home March 28, 2010. Charles, born March 3, 1950 in Parrsboro, NS was the son of the late Lorne T. Murphy and Dorothy E. Weir. He was a woodsman, an avid fisherman and hunter. He had a great love of nature. Charles loved to tell stories and visit with his many friends. He is survived by his son Peter Whynot (Shawna Vanderwolf), daughter Alexandra Murphy, step-daughter Cheyenne Irving; grandchildren Emma and Kenneth; sisters Ardis Noiles (Brad Garland), Julia MacCallum, Gwendolyn Joyce (Paul) and (Moe) Maureen Bannister (Perry); several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held from the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800), Monday, April 5 at 1 pm with Pastor Paul Leger officiating. In memory of Charles if desired, memorials to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
