Lieu de décès : Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada
Date de décès : 3 mars 2009

Jack Copas was born October 19, 1957 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan and died there suddenly of natural causes on March 3, 2009. He was just 51. He lived most of his life in Prince Albert. A huge family loved him. His parents were Eugene Raymond Copas and Freda Mary Copas-Hoffman (nee Fairbrass); his siblings are Candis Zell (Darrel), Rae, Marie, Patsy and Brent Copas and brothers Dale and Richard Hoffman and Trevor (Leona) Chamberlain. He lost his mother, father and brothers Larry, John and Don.
He spent most of his life in the bush cutting timber. Woodsman in the dictionary says man of the woods and that woodsmen are nature-wise persons who hunt for their food and live simply. They are often portrayed as male, bearded, knowledgeable about plants and animals, and possessing highly developed tracking and survival skills. That was Jack. He knew how to survive until his body could not. Yes he was a character and he was our brother, relative and friend. He gave life to children and he shared his life with us. Jack loved family, friends and God. Jack’s family wish to thank Vern Temple, the great people at The Nest, and the social networks that were always there for him. A service for Jack will be held on April 4, 2 p.m. at Prince Albert Full Gospel Outreach Center, 925 Central Avenue (the old CB Store), 764-2516.
