The death occurred peacefully at the Colville Manor in Souris on Tuesday, March 24, 2009, of Francis MacAulay, age 87 years, veteran of the Second World War. Beloved husband of the late Evelyne MacAulay (nee Cairns). Loving father of Maureen (Ray) Huet, Elaine (David) Howlett and Kenny. Sadly missed by grandchildren Meghan, Thomas, Kimberley and Dominique Huet, also Shanna and Landyn Howlett. Survived by brothers, Fr. Kenneth, Fr. Gerard, Eugene and Charles. Predeceased by sisters, Mary Matilda and Pauline and brothers, Peter, Joseph, Bernard and Fr. Adolphus. Resting at the Dingwell Funeral Home in Souris for visiting hours on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral to be held on Saturday, March 28, 2009, to St. Alexis Roman Catholic Church in Rollo Bay for funeral mass to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment at a later date in the church cemetery. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion are asked to meet at the funeral home on Friday evening for a Legion service at 7 p.m. If so desired, donations to the Colville Manor in Souris would be appreciated.
