Hector Howard Pace, age 83, of Main St., Trenton, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2009, in the Aberdeen Hospital.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Alfred Ernest and Lizapeth “Lizzie” (Titus) Pace.
He was a retired carpenter having worked with his brother Robie; Fraser, Mason and Fraser Ltd.; and Eldridge MacIntosh. He was a member of First United Church, Trenton.
He was an avid card player, gardener, hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by his wife, the former Mary Ross (Chisholm); step-daughters, Joan Dickson, Pictou; Eileen (Lawrence) Foote, Pine Tree; step-sons, Gerald Chisholm, Dartmouth; Henry (Shannon) Toner, Black Point; step-grandchildren: Angie LeGresley (Pierre), Moncton; Stacy Breau (Jerome), Truro; Craig Dickson, Halifax; Bobby Foote (Vern), Pine Tree; Kenneth Foote (Diane), Pine Tree; Janet Foote (Mike Burge), Pine Tree; Rayann Toner (Brian), Red Deer, Alta; Ryan Toner (Dale), Trenton; John Ross Chisholm, Dartmouth; Christine Chisholm, Dartmouth; 10 step-great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by sister, Clara; brothers: Robie, Ernest, Warnell and Lloyd.
Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, Trenton, from where funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday with Rev. Debra Orton officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery.
