The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Tuesday, March 31, 2009, of Inez MacLeod (nee Stevenson), wife of the late J. Daniel MacLeod, of Ebenezer, age 89. Inez was the loving mother of Margaret (Kenneth) Jones, Jean (Lou) Ranahan, Donald (Helen) and Lloyd (Marilyn); grandmother of Kent Jones, Carla (Terry) Robblee, Kirk (Merlina) Jones and Kris Jones; Pam (Chris) Kennedy and Pattie (Mike) McCormick; Scott (Lori) MacLeod, Dwayne MacLeod, Helena (Gordon) Essery and Timothy MacLeod; Angela MacLeod (Ray Peters), Marsha MacLeod (Chris MacDonald) and Tyler MacLeod (Melissa Doyle); and great-grandmother of Kyle, Timothy, Kenneth, Alyson, Aaron, Brook, Brandon, Krystal, Kara, Cassidy, C.J., Brayden, Naomi, Hayden, Nolan and Hannah. She is also survived by her brother, Bob (Lois) Stevenson; sister, Margaret Sellar; sisters-in-law, Leitha Moreside, Louella (Ed) Kuntz, Anne Campbell; brother-in-law, Carl MacLeod (Opal); and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her husband, J. Daniel, Inez was predeceased by her parents, Richard and Clara Stevenson; her granddaughter, Denise; her sisters, Clara, in infancy, Louise Stevenson, Anne Stevenson and Elva Stevenson; and brothers, Roy Stevenson, Olaf Stevenson and Eric Stevenson. Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Friday, April 3, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Central Queen’s Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, April 4, at 10:30 a.m. Interment later in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
