Suddenly at the Kingston General Hospital on Sunday, March 29, 2009 at the age of 82.
Predeceased by her beloved husband of 59 years, John (2006). Devoted mother of Randy of Portage, MA., Lynn (Doug) Sitland of Yarmouth, N.S., and Peggy (Lou) Piovesan of Burlington, ON.
Dearest Nanny of Kimberly, Tavia and Michaela Palmer, Troy (Tracy) Sitland, Kerrilyn (Dan) Lesser, Tyler (Amber-Lyn) Sitland, Amanda Tree and Jocelyn (Luke) Dowling and Marc (Lindsey) and Chad (Jen) Piovesan. Proud great grandmother of 13.
Also remembered by brother Stan Cooper and sister Peggy Duffy. Predeceased by parents Terrance and Ida Cooper, brothers Cecil, Jim, Art, Ted, Kevin, Francis and sisters Mary, Kay and Agnes. Theresa will be sadly missed by her close friends Janet and Mike Edworthy, Jennifer Browne and Len Persian. The family wish to thank these friends and other neighbours for their friendship, care and support to our mother. Theresa was a devoted and founding member of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish.
Friends will be received at the Township Chapel of Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Homes, 435 Davis Drive (Taylor Kidd Blvd at Centennial Drive) on Wednesday April 1, 2009, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Prayer Vigil Wednesday at 7 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Lourdes Church 490 Days Rd., Kingston on Thursday, April 2, 2009 at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow.
