Suddenly, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, on Wednesday, April 1, 2009, of M. Ruth Poole of Andrews of Stratford, and formerly of New Annan, in her 88th year. Born in New Annan July 15, 1921, daughter of the late James P. and Katherine (Lowther) Tuplin. Wife of the late Herbert J. A. Poole. Dear mother of Katherine (John) Wharry, Winnipeg, Jeanette (Don) Scott, Stratford, Valerie Thompson (Blair MacKinnon), Charlottetown, Herb (Bev) Poole, Toronto, and Gary (Weili) Poole, Toronto. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Heather, Chris and Michelle Wharry, Peter and Jeff Scott, Steven and Jennifer Thompson, Jessica, Ted and Gareth Poole and Cecelia Wang and by eight great-grandchildren. Sister of Betty (Wendell) Lyle. Predeceased by brothers, Isaac and James Tuplin and sisters, Audrey Schurman, Ella Miller and Shirley Woodside. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington, for visitation on Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Friday in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 1:30 p.m. Interment later in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
